System Support Engineer

• Comply with lab safety policies, practices, and procedures at all times.
• Provide timely and professional customer support.
• Attend daily huddle meetings to provide updates on assignments.
• Establish collaborative internal customer relationships with proactive communication.
• Prioritize daily work activities based on a frequently updated Liat task list.
• Induct new Liats in the equipment management system.
• Ship Liats for depot repair service and receive returned Liats for placement back in the labs.
• Document all activities accurately and promptly in the equipment management system according to approved procedures
• Add or update labeling on the Liats to reflect current status (e.g., GxP vs non-GxP).
• Coordinate with Lab Supervisor team members for support with lab compliance and best practice workflows.
• Execute equipment qualifications and initiate review/approval workflow in the electronic document management system (EDMS).

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated System Support Engineer to join our client’s site in Pleasanton, CA. This role will support the cobas Liat analyzers. The ideal candidate must be committed to customer satisfaction, able to follow instructions, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. Teamwork is essential, as this position interacts daily with coworkers, internal customers, and interdisciplinary functional areas. Attention to detail is required for executing equipment qualifications and recording work in the equipment management system.

Note: This is a W2 only role — C2C, C2H will not be considered

• 1+ years of experience in the medical device industry, preferably with “hands-on” experience in medical instrument maintenance.
• Working knowledge of hand tools and medical device equipment.
• Knowledge of Quality System Requirements (QSR), In Vitro Diagnostics Directive (IVDD) requirements, and customer service concepts.
• Demonstrated proficiency to learn new skills and software tools.
• 1–2 years of relevant work experience with basic knowledge of instrument support.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proactive communication of work status and prompt escalation of issues.
• Basic understanding of molecular diagnostics products.
• Strong work ethics and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions consistently with a cooperative, “can do” attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills.
• Education: BS Degree in a related field.

Pay Rate: $52.53 - $62.53 /hour - Determined based on experience
