Electrical (High Voltage) Safety Manager - Power Delivery

Description

• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate safety into project planning and execution
• Promote a proactive safety culture, ensuring all employees and subcontractors are engaged in best practices
• Lead electrical safety training programs for field crews, supervisors, and leadership teams
• Develop and manage comprehensive safety programs for electrical and construction (transmission, distribution, substations) projects
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, DOT, ANSI, NESC, and other industry regulations to maintain a safe work environment
• Conduct job site safety audits and risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, providing root cause analysis and strategies for continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field strongly preferred
• CSP certification required if bachelor's degree not complete
• Ability to identify hazards and implement proactive solutions
• Strong Knowledge of Safety Regulations; OSHA 30/OSHA 500, NFPA 70E, DOT, ANSI, and utility safety standards
• Ability to engage teams and influence a culture of safety
• Experience in analyzing metrics and audits to improve safety performance
• CUSP, CHST certifications are preferred
• Eight plus years in construction safety management with 4 plus years in power delivery
