In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of the desalination works — from planning and design through to construction, commissioning, and handover. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the project meets its quality, safety, schedule, and budget objectives while maintaining the highest technical and environmental standards.
You’ll work closely with contractors, designers, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and integration of the desalination plant within the wider project.
- Promote best practices in safety, health, and environmental management throughout the project.
- Foster strong collaboration across project teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with project and safety requirements.
- Oversee successful handover of the desalination plant to operational teams.
- Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team, ensuring alignment with project goals and delivery milestones.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and change control processes to ensure successful outcomes.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant standards, procedures, and governance requirements.
- Coordinate technical and engineering activities, resolving issues effectively to keep the project on track.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of the desalination plant, including design, construction, testing, and commissioning.

Due to continued business growth and our advancing project portfolio, we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the design, construction, and delivery of a Desalination Plant that will support the Sizewell C project.
Please note that visa sponsorship is not guaranteed and is assessed on a case-by-case basis, depending on role criticality and project needs. Many of our UK projects require high-level security clearance, meaning we can often only consider candidates with an existing, indefinite right to work in the UK. Exceptionally, we may consider visa sponsorship for applicants with niche experience aligned to our core work (e.g. EPR/nuclear new build).
- Experience managing and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
- Professional project management certification.
- Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Training & Development, including additional qualifications and accreditations relevant to your role
- Track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time and within budget.
- Understanding of environmental management and sustainability practices.
- Proven experience managing major construction or infrastructure projects from design through delivery.
- Background in highly regulated or large infrastructure environments, such as energy or utilities.
- Strong understanding of water treatment or desalination systems and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
