At Toole Design, our paid internship program is designed to give you real experience with meaningful work. Over 8-12 weeks, you'll be fully embedded in project teams alongside planners, engineers, and landscape architects-contributing to active projects from day one. Your work may include data analysis, production of maps, graphics and presentations, plan writing, fieldwork or preparing materials for a public meeting. You'll gain hands-on experience in the field of multimodal transportation in a wide range of contexts including multimodal corridor studies; Vision Zero; Safe Routes to School and Safety Action Plans; trails, greenways, and wayfinding plans; Complete Streets and streetscape plans.

We are targeting a salary range of $21 to $25 per hour for this position. Interns generally work 40 hours per week, four days in the office with the option to work from home one day a week. All Toole Design offices are bikeable, walkable, and transit-friendly-just like the infrastructure we help design.
