Structural Senior Associate

• Participate in business development activities with existing and new clients to help win new projects, and communicate with clients to understand project requirements.
• Manage other design team members and supervise the work of engineers and draft persons.
• Plan and formulate engineering program and organize project staff according to project requirements.
• Lead the direction, coordination, planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility.
• Directs project staff in preparing contract documents, such as drawings and specifications.
• Perform analysis and design of structural systems for all types of buildings and materials using various building codes.

• Ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines.
• Master’s preferred in structural or civil engineering.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience, including demonstrated project and staff management similar in function, size and scope to the above description.

The rate for this position generally is $120,000 - $165,000 annually. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by District of Columbia Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee’s pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
