The VP, Controller & Finance Transformation is the senior accounting and controllership leader responsible for balancing hands‑on execution with executive‑level ownership of accounting outcomes, systems, and scalability as the company experiences rapid growth and product expansion. The role focuses on building efficient, well‑controlled accounting processes and optimizing the recently implemented Workday Financial platform, overseeing Accounting Operations (Cash, A/P, A/R) and Accounting Control (General Ledger) while partnering closely with FP&A, Technology, and Product/Business teams.

• Lead Accounting Operations and Control teams to scale transactional workflows, ledger control, and financial close processes.
• Oversee post‑go‑live stabilization and continuous optimization of Workday, managing the Workday System Administrator.
• Embed accounting logic, controls, and validation rules into systems and data pipelines to reduce manual effort and risk.
• Partner with Technology and Data teams on integrations, data integrity, and change‑management controls.
• Leverage AI technologies to improve process efficiency while maintaining strong oversight.
• Drive adoption of best practices for system health, scalability, and enhanced reporting for finance executives.
• Support new product launches by collaborating with Product, Engineering, Data, and Business teams to embed accounting requirements early.
• Ensure accurate external GAAP financial statements and regulatory, lender, and investor reporting, maintaining audit readiness.
• Act as a change agent, fostering continuous improvement and innovation across people, processes, and technology.
• Develop and mentor team members in accounting operations, financial reporting, systems, and transformation initiatives.

Requirements

Success in this position will be demonstrated through enhanced automation and scalability, a shortened monthly close and reporting cycle, and improved reporting and analytical tools for finance and business executives. The role requires a senior accounting leader with proven experience across traditional controllership functions and hands‑on finance transformation delivery.

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA license.
• Possess experience with ERP implementation/optimization projects, preferably Workday, and deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Demonstrated project and change‑management expertise with ability to influence cross‑functional leaders and auditors.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong organization, keen attention to detail, and excellent written communication skills.

Benefits
