The Environmental Department Manager role combines field expertise with senior‑level client interaction. You will mentor environmental geologists, engineers, and project managers, driving high‑quality deliverables while fostering career growth within the company.

Manage and grow the Natural Resources department with a strong focus on business development and marketing initiatives
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of environmental scientists and project managers, overseeing environmental services projects, reviewing reports, preparing proposals, and managing departmental P&L
Supervise employees and manage daily departmental operations, ensuring alignment with project budgets and timelines
Coordinate effectively with regulatory authorities, particularly in navigating complex 404/401 permitting in the Southwest U.S. (Texas, Oklahoma & Arizona)
Contribute to business growth by maintaining and developing client relationships, marketing services, and preparing proposals for environmental projects
Manage project and budget oversight, including coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders
May involve report preparation duties based on departmental needs

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Soil Science, Engineering or a related field (MS preferred) and brings 5‑10+ years of environmental consulting experience. Relevant licensure such as PWS, LSS, PE, or PG is advantageous, along with deep expertise in wetland and stream delineation and complex 404/401 permitting.

BS degree in Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Soil Science, Engineering or related discipline; MS degree preferred
5-10+ years of relevant environmental consulting experience
Licensure - one or more of the following preferred: Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS), Licensed Soil Scientist (LSS), Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG)
Extensive experience in wetland and stream delineation
