Supports the implementation of Company occupational safety programs and loss prevention initiatives.
Ensures all safety incidents are promptly reported and investigated. Communicate appropriately with the claims manager on preventive measures, incident investigations, and crisis management.
Provide and deliver safety training and maintain proper documentation.
Conducts regular site safety audits to recognize and correct potential safety hazards and engages with field personnel to create corrective actions and follow up to ensure preventive measures and corrective actions are implemented.
Actively participates in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings to share safety information and ensure all safety compliance questions are addressed.
Consistently makes decisions attentively and safely to ensure the safety and health of self and others.
May provide new employees with a proper and thorough orientation of our environmental safety and health program and continuing safety education.
Performs the investigation of all safety incidents to collect and analyze data and collaborate with leadership to determine incident root cause analysis. Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent incident recurrence.
Collects and investigates job site vehicle and property incidents and enters in the EHS safety program.
Collaborates with the claims manager to ensure prompt medical care for occupational injuries, monitor ongoing medical treatment, procure appropriate restrictions, and assist in identifying light duty or alternate work options for employees’ successful return to work.
Supports and collaborates on leading and lagging indicator goals and Company initiatives to reach a workplace free of safety hazards and incidents.
Assists field employees and project managers with hazard analysis, pre-task planning, job hazard analysis, and other proactive safe work method planning.

Effective independent creativity, organizational, prioritizing, and time management skills. Demonstrated a high level of diplomacy, integrity, and dependability. Experience and skills to work closely with proprietary information and maintain confidentiality.
Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in construction safety, preferably in the electrical construction industry.
Knowledge of construction and general industry safety standards and procedures, including OSHA, MSHA, DOT, Worker’s Compensation, NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) 70E safety rules and regulations.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose problems with critical thinking skills and detail orientation, and to drive timely and appropriate solutions with self-initiative and sensitivity.
Excellent computer, communication, and training skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in safety, environmental health, construction safety management, or related field.
Travel to project sites is required, which may include temporary relocation for the duration of the project.
Strong and professional team player, with effective collaboration, organizational and relationship-building skills. Experience building strong internal and external business partner relationships and teaming with cross-functional managers and employees across the business.
Exceptional leadership, mentoring, listening, presentation, negotiation, conflict management, and persuasion skills, and the ability to influence employees at all levels.
Has strong communication skills, able to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
