Mechanical Manager

Description

• Progress Reporting: Manage project progress, update the programme, and lead weekly meetings with stakeholders.
• Work Allocation & Monitoring: Allocate tasks to sub-contractors, monitor progress, and ensure quality control and safety on-site.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure all mechanical installations meet relevant legislation and industry standards.
• Sub-contractor Management: Oversee sub-contractors, ensuring competency, contract compliance, and timely material ordering.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain QA documentation, ensuring all works are photographed and signed off accordingly.
• Safety & Compliance: Deliver toolbox talks, address unsafe practices, and ensure safety compliance throughout the project.
• Mechanical Systems Oversight: Manage the installation of a variety of mechanical systems, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and minimal costs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager within a Tier 1 main contractor or building services contractor.
• In-depth understanding of regulations, including WRAS, NHBC, Thames Water, and Health & Safety.
• Experience working on New build or Cut & Carve projects. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, water treatment, and more.
• Proiciency in using 4Projects and other project management tools. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
