Vendor Relations Clerk I

Description

Reporting to the Vendor Relations Supervisor/Manager, this position is responsible for the day‑to‑day maintenance of the repairs process. The role ensures that customer repair and equipment requests are managed efficiently and that vendor interactions support timely completion.

• Receive customer repair and equipment requests and coordinate vendor fulfillment.
• Record incoming issues in the designated system and follow up to meet deadlines.
• Provide timely, accurate updates to customers and maintain system data.
• Resolve day‑to‑day vendor issues in collaboration with internal partners.
• Review vendor quotes, determine next steps, and coordinate parts ordering.
• Verify work order accuracy for efficient processing, reporting, and billing.
• Monitor team email and systems for new or escalated requests and provide coverage.
• Maintain orders within assigned territory to achieve individual/team metrics.
• Analyze processes and recommend continuous‑improvement solutions.
• Interact with intercompany departments, vendors, and outsourced partners to resolve operational issues.
• Support development and implementation of vendor process improvements.
• Assist with onboarding of new vendors as needed.

Requirements

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and does not require prior experience, certifications, or special licenses. Candidates need basic computer and motor coordination skills for keyboarding and data entry.

Benefits

Work is performed in a hybrid office setting in Arizona or Connecticut and may involve occasional handling of objects under 30 pounds and rare exposure to physical risks such as cuts or burns. The expected base pay range nationwide is $19 – $22 per hour, with final compensation based on experience, education, and location.
