Manages project team for large or multiple accounts as assigned by the local sales leader. Responsible for all project and daily work order activities, much of sales and marketing, and full customer satisfaction for those accounts.

  • Actively participate in weekly meetings with the manager director to discuss activities and workload management to discuss forecasts.
  • Oversee designated customer projects; direct dealer team for implementation of customer order and service requests.
  • Support the sales staff to create marketing and presentation materials to represent the full range of products and services provided by the dealership.
  • Stay involved throughout sale implementation to ensure that any bottlenecks or changes in scope are identified and resolved, and that both customer and dealership are satisfied.
  • Work with sales in the development, preparation, and presentation of a complete furniture solution. Work with Sales Teams to creatively position RFP requests and alternate solutions.
  • Assist sales and design personnel to successfully position and sell the full range of products in the Officeworks portfolio.
  • Collaborate with market A+D Representatives and local manufacturing representatives to stay current with market and product trends.
  • The Managing Director will have full discretion on what projects or accounts the Account Manager will be involved in.
  • Ensure documentation standards are maintained for all account activities; ensure dealership process and procedures are followed.
  • Identify account penetration opportunities for additional product or service sales to customer
  • Support the sales team in the development of the office typical and ancillary products offered as part of the Officeworks solution.
  • Recommend creative substitution options of products when not specified in conjunction with design/ancillary specialists or independently.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Sales leadership, and Distribution to achieve stated business objectives.
  • Develop plans and product specifications either on your own or through work with the design department.
  • Advise dealer designers regarding products on an as needed basis.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Contract furniture sales experience (preferred).
  • A strong sense of the customer and sales process and a proven ability to facilitate customer and field interaction.
  • Prompt, reliable and regular attendance
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strategic thinking –ability to look beyond the proposal at hand to develop creative strategies geared toward winning business.
  • Exemplary skills in dealing with people and the ability to work effectively with corporate resources and outside copy developers.
  • Ability to change priorities quickly and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with AutoCad, CAP, Revit, and SketchUp design tools. Understanding of CET
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to write in a number of styles, recognize which is most appropriate in each instance, and incorporate the correct style in each proposal.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
  • Deadline-oriented with ability to work under pressure while tactfully dealing with stressful situations.
