Responsible for identifying system functional requirements revisions and changes and determining system components needed to address these changes in coordination with relevant stakeholders, aligning with the overall roadmap of future Transportation Systems Expansions in the Emirate.

Supervises, assists and provides on-the-job training of junior staff assigned to work directly under his/her control, ensuring that they perform their duties efficiently and improve their knowledge and ability at the same time.
Responsible for generating the Terms of References and Proposals for the new Transportation system architecture, hardware, software, interfaces, integration requirements, etc. by utilising the proven developments and current practice in the field of Public Transportation Systems, Automated Vehicle Management, Fare Collection, Real-time Passenger Information, Advanced Fleet Management, Scheduling Systems, Web Applications and Mobile Application, etc.
Responsible for proposing, organizing, coordinating, and identifying priorities with respect to improvements to Public Transport computer systems, devices and telecommunications components, based on knowledge and review of day-to-day systems and telecommunications performance, and making suitable recommendations to the Transportation Systems Director.
Responsible for reviewing technical and commercial proposals from RTA appointed Consultants and Specialist Contractors for activities involving design, implementation, operations and maintenance of Transportation Systems assets. Prepares Evaluation reports and provides concise advice in matters related to decision making to the Director of the department.
Immediately report any Information Security incidents to your line manager and IT support for prompt guidance and resolution.
Responsible for generating Best-Practice Guidelines, formulating and establishing policies and procedures in co-ordination with all the relevant sections of TSD, and ensuring the adoption of the same, such that the TSD systems are maintained and operated to the highest of levels
Prepares or supervises the preparation, as instructed, of reports and replies to the Directors, Managers of Sections, Head of Committees on matters relevant to Transportation system design, implementation, communications management and pertinent activities internal to the RTA and external to the relevant stakeholders.
Responsible for generating performance reports for the Director, indicating the level of service from the consultants and contractors performing Consultancy and Construction works for design, implementation, maintenance and operations of Transportation Systems.
Responsible for preparing the guidelines and framework for creating a state-of-the art System architecture for TSD applications in the Emirate.
Responsible to represent the TS Department, in technical committees internal and external to the RTA, and engage in presentations, discussions, policy matters, creation of rules and regulations, related to the TS Department and assist the TS Director in various aspects of decision-making process, selection criteria, generating summary reports, etc.
Strictly follow the Information Security data sharing guidelines for all internal and external data transfers.
Represents the TSD on matters relating to the functions of the TSD Department, as advised and/or instructed by the Director of the Department.
Actively participate in all assigned Information Security training and awareness sessions to enhance your knowledge and address potential Information Security risks.
Responsible for making recommendations and generating proposals for the Transportation Systems Director for any computer and communications activities that can be performed internally with current RTA's resources.
Responsible for reviewing and analysing the existing systems, network and practices currently being followed for Transportation Systems implementation in the Emirate and then working towards aligning the design and implementation of Transportation Systems in the Emirate, with the current and proven International Standards and recent developments within the Information Technology and Computer Industry.
Responsible for developing performance measures to assess the effectiveness and performance of the Transportation systems. Surveys and monitors regularly all related systems and interfaces to apply these performance measures.
Provides expertise, approach and advice on matters relating to system hardware and software architecture, interfaces and integration requirements for exchange of data and information in inter-connecting differing systems across the Agencies within RTA.
Implementation of large scale complex Public Transportation Systems Projects
Strictly Adhere to RTA Information Security policies, procedures, and processes.
Performs or supervises the performance of conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of expansion, enhancement or replacement activities for Transportation Systems, in coordination with designated Consultants and relevant departments within RTA.
