To ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and HVAC systems within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The technician will play a critical role in maintaining temperature-controlled environments essential for product integrity and regulatory compliance.

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues related to HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Production, and Engineering.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and energy efficiency projects.
  • Support validation and qualification activities for temperature-controlled equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance in accordance with SOPs and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including maintenance logs, calibration records, and compliance reports.
  • Monitor and maintain environmental conditions in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) areas.
  • Perform routine and reactive maintenance on refrigeration systems, chillers, cold rooms, and HVAC units.

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Trade qualification in Refrigeration, HVAC, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment with strict hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Proficient in using tools, meters, and software relevant to HVAC and refrigeration.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • F-Gas certification.
  • Strong understanding of GMP and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in refrigeration and HVAC maintenance.
  • Physical work including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotech, food).
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
