Director Level – Water Resources

Description

In this role you will oversee project delivery, coordinate with a diverse client base, contribute to the implementation of AECOM’s Australia/New Zealand Water Resources Strategy and support the professional growth of engineers and designers.

• Lead and deliver flood risk management, hydrological and hydraulic modelling, and mitigation studies across project lifecycles.
• Build and maintain client relationships across multiple sectors.
• Implement AECOM’s Australia/New Zealand Water Resources Strategy.
• Mentor and guide engineers and designers to grow the talent pipeline.

Requirements

We are expanding our Water team in Sydney and seeking an influential director‑level Water Resources specialist. This career‑defining role will play an instrumental part in growing our water resources service offering.

We are looking for candidates with a relevant tertiary degree, CPEng registration and extensive consulting experience in water resources and major infrastructure projects. Strong commercial acumen, expertise in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling (e.g., TUFLOW, HEC‑RAS, RORB) and a proven ability to generate innovative business development opportunities are highly desired.

• Hold a relevant tertiary degree and CPEng registration with extensive water resources consulting experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multidisciplinary projects with strong commercial acumen.
• Proficient in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling tools (e.g., TUFLOW, HEC‑RAS, RORB) and ARR2019.
• Proven track record of identifying and securing innovative business development opportunities.
