Supervising and managing a team of maintenance employees in a large manufacturing facility, overseeing maintenance and repairs of production equipment and facility systems.
Assesses production equipment to plan work assignments and project schedules.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
Hires and trains maintenance department staff.
Develops and maintains preventative maintenance schedule in collaboration with operations staff.
Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
Develop maintenance procedures and schedules as necessary.
Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff.
Tracks all maintenance activities through the maintenance management program.
Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Sustain equipment documentation including electrical and mechanical systems. Ensure updates are made to keep all documents current.

Must be able to lift 45 pounds at a time.
Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
Knowledge and understanding of PLC’s and large Hp AC and DC drives and motors
Extensive knowledge of large manufacturing equipment.
Ability to work in a hot or cold environment as deemed necessary.
Experience with 2D & 3D CAD a plus
Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
