The Pump and Power Road Technician 2 role involves troubleshooting and diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical equipment problems, performing advanced repairs, and assessing customer needs to provide solutions. In the absence of a Shop Foreman or Service Manager, the technician may also lead and train other team members.
Candidates should have 5–7 years of experience repairing and maintaining pump and power equipment, a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, and a DOT physical examination. An EPA Section 608 universal certification is required, and a DOT medical card is needed.
Required knowledge and skills include advanced understanding of mechanical, electrical, and diesel equipment, generators, HVAC, air compressors, refrigeration (EPA certified), load bank repairs, and electrical engines and controllers. Experience with dehumidification equipment, VFDs, VSDs, soft starts, and across‑the‑line motor starting is preferred, along with factory training on diesel, generator, compressor, and HVAC systems.

Base pay ranges from $27.07 to $38.90 per hour, adjusted for factors such as location, education, and experience.
