Activations Ambassador

Description

The Activation/Recreations Ambassador works with the Venue Manager to support special events and daily operations at the pool and other venues. The role involves maintaining clean and well‑set pool areas, providing courteous guest service, selling cabanas and daybeds, and assisting with event setup and vendor coordination.

• Greet and welcome all guests and members.
• Distribute new pool towels and collect used towels.
• Sell cabanas and daybeds to guests.
• Provide personal care to guests in cabanas/daybeds according to SOP.
• Communicate guest needs to the Activation Manager.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Assist with hotel functions, opening, closing, and side work.
• Supply utilities for vendors at the pool area.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of pool, cabanas, furniture and service areas.
• Support cultural activities and special event setups (live music, evening activities).
• Act as point of contact for on‑site vendors and verify setup accuracy.
• Reset and set up pool furniture per hotel standards.
• Monitor weather advisories and adjust pool furniture care.
• Sweep or extract excess water puddles around pool areas.
• Maintain regular attendance per Highgate Hotel Standards.
• Maintain proper uniform, grooming, and nametag.
• Follow safety and retail operation standards.
• Identify problems and implement solutions.
• Handle confidential information securely.
• Maintain a warm, friendly demeanor at all times.

Requirements

Employees must be attentive, friendly and helpful to guests, managers and colleagues, and must uphold Highgate’s standards of appearance, attendance and confidentiality. The position requires physical activity, including standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 50 lb, and may involve flexible hours, weekends and evenings.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of retail or hospitality experience, and be comfortable using computers and POS systems. Strong verbal and written communication, problem‑solving ability and detail‑orientation are essential.

• Proficient with computers and POS systems.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lb occasionally and 30 lb frequently.
• Strong verbal and written communication with guests and staff.
• Show initiative and anticipate guest or operational needs.
