Senior Architectural Designer

Description

• Lead the design and development of architectural projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other consultants to integrate architectural designs with structural and MEP systems.
• Stay current with industry trends, building codes, and sustainable design practices to inform project strategies.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure design intent is maintained.
• Prepare detailed drawings, presentations, and specifications using advanced design software and tools.
• Mentor and guide junior design staff, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

• Professional Architectural License or eligibility to obtain licensure in the relevant states.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction documentation.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling and visualization tools like Rhino, SketchUp, or Lumion.
• Previous experience managing multi-location projects or working in a multi-office environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in architectural design, preferably with a focus on commercial or institutional projects.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills with a proven track record of successful project presentations.
• Experience with sustainable design certifications such as LEED or WELL.
• Proficiency in architectural design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Advanced knowledge of BIM workflows and integrated project delivery methods.
