Stansell is seeking a talented Accounting Manager in the Odessa/Tampa region to join our team!
Stansell is a rapidly growing, WBE certified, general contractor specializing in commercial construction services across the Southeast United States. We focus on serving clients in the commercial market with emphasis on the following project types: restaurant dining and quick service food. The ideal candidate for this role is a career-minded individual with a customer service focus, has high energy, and is detail oriented. This candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.

- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate across project management, operations, and executive teams.
- Proficiency in accounting and project management software used in the construction industry (e.g. Sage, Procore or similar).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a financial leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
- Prior experience leading a team in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment with a track record of developing staff and elevating departmental performance.
- Comfortable balancing high-level strategic work with a willingness to roll up sleeves when necessary.
- 3-5+ years of proven experience in construction accounting required with a deep understanding of WIP schedules, job costing, and AIA billing.
- CPA and public accounting experience preferred.
