As a Transport Co-Ordinator, you will play a key role in managing and maximizing truck movements daily. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, delivering outstanding service to our customers and supporting our drivers.
- Issue accurate delivery and collection instructions to drivers to ensure on-time performance
- Follow up on bookings to ensure customer satisfaction and completion
- Plan and maximize daily truck routing and movements
- Develop strong relationships with drivers, customers, and stakeholders
- Manage drivers’ hours according to current regulations
- Ensure compliance with road transport haulage legal requirements and tachograph legislation
- Manage trucking orders from customers using our FMS computerized transport system
- Maintain knowledge of geographical routes in Cork County and the wider Munster area
- Take full ownership of all aspects of the role
- Implement and maintain effective working practices to keep the road transport department efficient
