We are recruiting a Design Manager for our regional construction business to work on public‑sector projects within the Defence Optimisation Programme (DEOP). The role ensures effective liaison between the external design team, construction and commercial teams, statutory authorities, and the client. The Design Manager will drive design delivery, value engineering, and BIM execution while leading external consultants.

Deliver design information on schedule and within the project cost plan.
Provide safe, buildable design that matches the required quality stage.
Align design with contractor proposals, employer requirements, and manage any deviations.
Conduct value engineering to explore alternative design options while preserving quality.
Lead, motivate, and manage external consultants to drive supply‑chain delivery.
Define consultant scopes using a Design Responsibility Matrix.
Review BIM capabilities of design teams and support the Project BIM Execution Plan.
