Mechanical Drafter

Description

• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to gather product requirements
• Add dimensions and critical information for manufacturing
• Detail designs using CAD software
• Review drawings with the engineering team
• Identify potential operational issues
• Assist in redesigns to improve functionality
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Create and maintain documentation such as BOMs, part and assembly drawings, schematics, and purchase specifications
• Document project estimates, scope, and budget
• Provide project management assistance as needed

Requirements

We are seeking a Mechanical Drafter to collaborate with engineers and a project manager, converting designs into detailed technical plans. The role involves gathering drawings and specifications, calculating material and equipment needs, and creating production‑ready prints. Strong CAD proficiency and project management abilities are essential.

Candidates should hold a CAD drafting degree or equivalent experience, with at least one year of relevant drafting or detailing work. Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, solid math skills, and effective communication are required. Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and cooperate cross‑functionally is expected.
