Ensure that the final installation and operation of any machine or combination of machines/sub-assemblies conform to the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations in force at the time
Work alongside both UK Engineering and Central Engineering to maximise potential of teams and machinery
Survey and control electrical drawings and PLC/SACDA backups
Maintain and repair production plant and machinery including:
Suggesting ways of improving production in given areas.
Control Systems for temperature, pressure and analogue systems
Burner control systems and gas work.
Promote and encourage continuous improvement (PIP Project) and use of lean manufacturing methodologies
Ensure compliance with the European Machinery Directive (including CE marking requirements) for the installation of any new equipment / any significant change to the machinery
Promote and implement an Engineering Technical Specifications and Standards Procedure to ensure compliance with the Machinery Directive in force
Investigate new technology in order to upgrading existing equipment with a view to improving factory performance
Manage all aspects of mandatory testing relating to electrical installation including fixed wire testing, PAT testing, HV transformers and switchgears
Install new equipment, including commissioning control panels
Provide a management and assessment of functional safety, including support in planning and in design of safety circuit and safety logic programming against best practices
Providing technical support to factories
Implement and fully embrace the 5Ss and visual management techniques

Extensive knowledge in servo control and servo drive
Working knowledge of CMMS systems. (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems)
Communication protocol: RS232/485, Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Modbus, Profibus, FieldBus.
HND in engineering, preferably mechatronics
Good verbal and written communication skills and experience of communicating with different types of people at all levels of an organisation
Experience of Continuous Improvement (CI) systems
Experience in electrical and control design and development
Able to produce CAD electrical schematics using Autocad
Programming PLCs Siemens (S5, S7), SCADAs, HMI
Ability to work alone or as part of a team
Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) / The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) Certificates
Problem solving with robotics
C & G 18th edition qualification must be comfortable with modifying and working on 440v control systems
Robot programming
Good knowledge of electrical safety circuits
Ability to solve complex problems
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes in environment/technology
MEWP licence. (Mobile Elevated Work Platform)
PLC Programming and PLC hardware preferably Siemens S7

Degree in an Electrical engineering subject
Inverter drive systems (Siemens, Danfoss and SEW)
Programming in C++, VB
FLT licence
Able to design new electrical drawings and PLC Programme upgrades/conversions
Electrical schematics and be able to design from scratch
Experience of working in a heavy industrial environment
Guard switches and interlock systems assessment
Working from AUTO CAD drawings
Experience of working with brick and/or roof tile manufacturing machinery
