The Senior Manager - Design Governance is a senior member of the vertical within the Design Excellence (DEx) department in CDU. They are responsible for implementing and maintaining design governance frameworks that ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across all Qiddiya (QIC) projects.
The Design Governance vertical acts as a custodian of design principles, ensuring alignment of designs with QIC objectives and its unique identity. The manager will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and counterparts in various Business Units to monitor and ensure adherence to established governance processes. By extension, they will help drive continuous improvement of the department and design practices by feeding back adoption issues to other DEx verticals.
The role involves developing and implementing QIC‑wide processes for reviewing and monitoring projects’ adherence to Board‑approved CGIs and imagery, including concept and interior designs. It also includes creating, updating, and maintaining a centralized repository of dated Board‑approved CGIs for reference and compliance tracking. Additionally, the manager will conduct systematic audits, coordinate with DEx teams across business units to ensure compliance, and prepare reports on compliance status, audit findings, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Further duties include defining clear workflows for design governance reviews, approvals, and escalation procedures, coordinating corrective actions with DEx teams, and developing compliance dashboards and reporting mechanisms for leadership visibility. The manager will utilize advanced digital tools such as Excel and Power BI to analyze datasets and create visual dashboards, as well as mentor and guide junior team members in project coordination, document preparation, and analytical tasks.
