Resident Experience Ambassador

Assist residents with activities and events, ensuring engagement and support.

Tasks

-Assists in bringing residents to and from all activities -Identifies, obtains, and effectively allocates the resources required to achieve applicable goals -Invites, engages, and encourages participation from all residents to the extent they are comfortable participating -Identify and report to the Resident Experience Director and personal, emotional, cognitive, and environmental concerns that prevent or limit a resident's ability to participate in any activity -Assist in creating and adjusting the Resident Experience plan for each resident -Will help facilitate socials, games, crafts, cooking, movies, outings, outdoor time, and many other activities as per the monthly/daily schedule -May drive the company van or vehicle for various reasons as required by the community -Uses Lifeloop to document all attendance both at planned activities and 1:1 interactions -Ensures that each resident has been given a copy of the monthly activity calendar -Work with the Resident Experience team to bring new and exciting ideas, and to encourage others to offer new suggestions, to add to the monthly planned program(s)

Able to use reason, even when dealing with emotional topics -Able to maintain a customer focus, treating others with respect and integrity -Previous experience in organizing activities or event planning preferred -Able to be innovative to create and generate solutions and programs -Demonstrates an ability to use independent judgement and discretion to make decisions on what is in the best interest of the resident -Ability to communicate verbally, in writing, and through pictures when necessary -Expected to represent the Resident Experience department by being punctual, neat, clean, and professional in appearance -The position requires driving responsibilities; must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record per company's Motor Vehicle Policy -Able to relate to routine operations in a manner that is consistent with existing solutions to problems. -Able to think creatively and independently to meet worthwhile objectives -Ability to work varied schedules to include weekends, evenings, and holidays -Must have experience with memory care -One (1) to two (2) years of working with seniors preferred -Ability to utilize technology effectively and efficiently, including use of computers, iPad/tablet, Word programming, internet access, email, social media, and Resident Experience software platforms -Able to operate standard office equipment
