This role is responsible for the management and compliance of all environmental programs, such as ACM/Mold, Hazardous/Universal Waste, PFAS, Solid Waste, Prop 65, Air District Emissions, Indoor Air & Water Quality, Stormwater, etc. The role will support and work closely with the onsite Operations and Engineering teams to ensure all program requirements, regulations, and permits meet Corporate, Local, and State compliance requirements.

  • Work with Corporate Safety and Engineering to maintain the safety training program in compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
  • Manage programs, consultants, training, and compliance requirements for Stormwater / Groundwater Management, Kitchen Equipment / Exhaust Systems, and Fat/Oil/Grease (FOG). Perform periodic property inspections and verify proper compliance documentation.
  • Manage programs, consultants, training, and compliance requirements for Hazardous Material, Universal Waste, Solid Waste/Recycling (SB 1383), and applicable Air District regulations. Perform periodic property inspections and verify proper filing of compliance documentation. Manage EPA numbers, transporter, and disposal site approvals.
  • Manage programs, consultants, training, and compliance requirements for Asbestos Containing Material, Mold/Moisture, Proposition 65, and Indoor and Water Air Quality. Project manage related major activities, perform periodic site inspections, and verify proper close-out documentation.

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • Valid California driver’s license; Maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as required by state law. (This role requires the regular and frequent operation of a vehicle, as defined in the Company’s MVR policy, and is part of the essential duties of this position.)
  • Team player who can effectively and positively collaborate with the Engineering team portfolio-wide.
  • 8+ years of experience and knowledge of CA state environmental laws and regulations, and managing compliance documentation, timelines and project oversight.
  • Possess prioritization, organizational and time management skills to ensure permits and requirements are met promptly before deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all types of communication with all audiences, including Risk Management and Executives.
