The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for comprehensive planning and scheduling, coordinating progress meetings with owners and engineers, and conducting internal and pre‑activity meetings to align labor, equipment, and safety requirements. They supervise personnel selection, enforce company policies, manage contract documents, control costs, handle subcontractor and vendor negotiations, maintain detailed documentation, and ensure public‑facing professionalism and OSHA compliance.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and have at least five years of heavy‑construction experience, including bridge, roadwork, and DOT projects. Required skills include strong leadership, multi‑disciplinary team management, the ability to direct subcontractors, proficiency with Microsoft Office and P‑3 scheduling software, meticulous organization, and excellent verbal and written communication.
