The team delivers innovative, sustainable water‑management solutions, designing and maintaining dams, levees, hydropower infrastructure, and related environmental remediation projects that protect public health and improve quality of life.
The position supports design, evaluation, and rehabilitation of water‑conveyance structures such as dams, spillways, large gates, valves, and hydropower machinery, performing 2D/3D CAD modeling, preliminary FEM analysis, field reconnaissance, and preparation of technical reports, specifications, drawings, and cost estimates, while also contributing to proposals and client interactions.
GFT is seeking a motivated Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join its dams & hydraulics team in Denver, CO, working in a hybrid format with at least three days on‑site each week.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program, have 0‑3 years of relevant experience, and demonstrate basic mechanical and structural design knowledge, proficiency with MS Office, and strong communication skills; an EIT certification and experience with Autodesk CADD and FEA are preferred.
