- Mentors PD&P designers and drafters by providing appropriate on-the-job training for their professional development
- Make decisions independently concerning problems within the discipline on the project.
- Produces drawings and documentation in accordance with established design and scope including 3D model equipment layouts and pipe designs
- Develops Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), Bechtel design guides, appropriate Bechtel Standard Computer Applications (BSAPs) and administrative practices
- Plans, develops, coordinates and reviews design work within a medium-size PD&P design work group on projects of medium size or assignments in support of global business unit
- Facilitates technical discussions with third parties (client, suppliers, regulators)
- Coordinates with client representatives as delegated to obtain approval on phases of work
- Ensures PD&P systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards
- Prepares or oversees the preparation of PD&P design estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule and budget, and manages implementation and performance accordingly
- Coordinates and interfaces as directed with the day-to-day technical work of PD&P engineers, scientists, specialists, designers and drafters
- Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions to upper management
- Reviews and approves key PD&P engineering drawings and calculations and bid summaries
- Coordinates assigned PD&P design work with other project groups

- High standard of oral and written communication, and use of MSOffice applications.
- Advanced experience in the use of 3d Modeling tools; AutoCAD Revit and Navisworks.
- Eequires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
- Experience developing, managing, and maintaining BIM models with defined LOD specifications (LOD 100–500) for the engineering discipline of Plant Design and Piping.
- Must be authorized to live and work in the US without sponsorship.
- Expert level knowledge of interfaces with equipment and for specialty piping arrangements of an industrial semiconductor manufacturing facility (semiconductor fab or data center).
- Good understanding of related construction practices and the economics involved.
- Prefer expert level knowledge and understanding of pipe support systems for specialty piping of fab building or data center.
- Willingness to travel and/or relocate to jobsite in support of projects.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) with extensive knowledge and experience related to Plant Design & Piping development of conceptual layouts (space coordination) of equipment and piping complex routing systems for a large industrial manufacturing facility (semiconductor fabs or data centers).
