Project Quality Lead

Description

The Project Quality Lead oversees overall quality management of projects at B&W, collaborating with project teams to implement quality plans and procedures, and ensuring the delivery of quality products and services.

The role involves enforcing B&W quality standards and project specifications, coordinating inspections with suppliers and customers, managing non‑conformances and corrective actions, supporting ISO and ASME certification audits, contributing to continuous improvement of the quality system and vendor relationships, and developing and maintaining the project quality plan and Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).

• Oversee project quality management and enforce B&W quality standards.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing to define quality objectives.
• Coordinate supplier and customer inspections and document testing results.
• Manage non‑conformances, implement corrective actions, and track resolutions.
• Support ISO and ASME certification audits.
• Develop and maintain project quality plans, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, control, or manufacturing.
• Technical knowledge of industrial boilers, balance‑of‑plant equipment, welding, and fit‑up processes.
• Ability to read complex drawings and use measuring tools (tape, micrometer, calipers, dial indicator).
• Familiarity with ASME, AWS, EN, and ISO codes and contract specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and confident in independent decision‑making.
• Strong organization, detail orientation, time‑management, and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work according to customer and supplier schedules, including weekends/after hours.
