Field Service Engineer

• Ensure strict compliance with safety and quality standards
• Serve as the technical point of contact for customer support and troubleshooting
• Conduct installation, alignment, commissioning, and post-installation support of MV drive systems
• Coordinate with PMs and engineering teams to plan and execute technical activities on-site
• Prepare and manage tools, materials, and spares to ensure quality and readiness
• Perform diagnostics, identify failure root causes, and implement preventive solutions
• Promote and integrate process improvements to enhance service delivery
• Manage documentation: technical reports, progress updates, drawings, and test records

🕒 Contract Length: 12 Months (travel if there were to work in Madinah/Tabuk/Jeddah/Riyadh)

✅ Must hold Saudi citizenship or a transferrable Iqama

✅ Able to advise on expected cost if managing your own accommodation and travel in these regions

✅ Willingness to travel and work across multiple locations in KSA – incl. Madinah, Tabuk, Jeddah, and Riyadh

Spencer Ogden is currently partnering with a leading global energy solutions provider to deliver a high-impact engineering project across Saudi Arabia. We are seeking experienced Field Service Engineers with a strong background in medium voltage (MV) drives and power systems to support multiple sites across the Kingdom.

📍 Location: Saudi Arabia (Multiple locations – flexibility to travel essential)

• Experience with large motor commissioning (sync/async machines up to several MW), including no-load/load testing
• Competency in interpreting electrical schematics, SLDs, and system drawings
• Familiarity with PLCs and industrial protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP) for integrating VSDs
• Proven hands-on experience with MV variable speed drives (ideally 6–36kV; e.g. GE MV7000)
• Solid grasp of industrial safety procedures: LOTO, arc-flash, HV safety, commissioning risk assessments
• Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools: IR testing, PD testing, current injection, oscilloscopes, etc.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems: power electronics, rotating equipment, switchgear, transformers, and protection systems
