The manager will be responsible for developing and managing a pipeline of opportunities, meeting sales and revenue targets, and leading prospecting, proposal creation and contract negotiations to close deals. They will also support the launch and scaling of a range of solution products, including tariffs, smart-charging, vehicle-to-grid, bundled services, heat, solar, storage and financing.
Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with technology providers, installers, community groups and trade associations will be key to expanding reach. The role requires acting as a trusted advisor to customers, driving satisfaction, retention and upsell opportunities, while representing the company in industry forums and local authority programmes.
E.ON Next is looking for an ambitious Business Development & Growth Manager to accelerate growth across the energy sector. The role will target residential, SME, and commercial markets, aiming to deliver affordable, reliable and sustainable energy solutions. Successful candidates will be commercial-minded, experienced in complex negotiations, and capable of forging large strategic partnerships across multiple industries.
A strong background in business development, sales or partnerships within energy, utilities or related sectors is required, along with a proven track record of exceeding commercial targets, excellent negotiation skills and solid commercial and financial acumen. Experience with EV charging or energy retail propositions, knowledge of regulatory frameworks and proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot are highly valued.
