Oversee execution of distribution, substation, and transmission construction work to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
Resolve field conflicts, access issues, customer inquiries, and construction barriers efficiently and professionally.
Serve as a key point of contact between PTAG, field teams, engineering, customer operations, and external contractors.
Provide day-to-day leadership for field construction supervisors, crews, and contractors.
Uphold and reinforce PTAG‘s safety culture; ensure full compliance with OSHA, NESC, utility procedures, and environmental regulations.
Review constructability, sequencing, and field readiness of assigned projects.
Participate in storm duty and emergency restoration activities, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Participate in safety audits, incident reviews, daily briefings, and job hazard analyses.
Conduct routine site visits to monitor progress, validate work methods, assess risks, and ensure compliance and industry construction standards.
Support construction budgeting, labor forecasting, contractor utilization, and material coordination.
Monitor productivity, performance metrics, and cost impacts; recommend operational improvements to enhance value delivery.
Provide updates, reports, and briefings to leadership on construction progress, risks, and performance indicators.
Coordinate construction resources to support capital investments, maintenance programs, new service installations, and grid modernization initiatives.
Assist with quality assurance inspections and documentation compliance.
Lead field deployment activities and coordinate restoration crews during weather or system events.
Support PTAG project managers with field updates, milestone tracking, and work-package verification.
Identify constraints, mitigate risks, and escalate issues proactively to ensure successful project execution.
Promote continuous improvement in safety practices and contractor performance.

Strong understanding of electric utility construction practices, work methods, switching coordination, and energized vs. de-energized work requirements.
Willingness to support emergency restoration operations as needed.
Strong problem-solving capability and operational judgment.
Familiarity with OSHA and NESC requirements.
Proven ability to lead diverse field teams and contractors while driving productivity, safety, and quality.
3+ years in a supervisory or field leadership role in construction or operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of work management systems such as SAP, Maximo, or similar, and scheduling systems like Primavera P6.
Ability to read and interpret engineering prints, construction drawings, switching diagrams, and project packages.
Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel throughout service territory.
Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of providing clear direction in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
7–10 years of experience in electrical utility construction, distribution operations, transmission projects, or related heavy infrastructure environments.
