

Nationwide engineering firm specializing in relay testing, commissioning, and equipment testing
The role involves traveling to customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, start‑up, and collect data on low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems. The employee will assist the project lead with functional testing of substation control circuits, isolation and set‑point testing, advanced logic and scheme testing, and end‑to‑end relay testing using Doble Protection Suite, RTS, or Test Universe software. Additional duties include supporting the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of protective relaying equipment, SCADA and distribution automation systems, and preparing written commissioning and maintenance procedures as well as customer reports.
Candidates should have an associate’s degree in Electrical Power & Controls, an ABET‑accredited EE degree, equivalent military training, or be a Journeyman‑level electrician. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record are required. The applicant must be able to identify color‑coded wires and fibers, work safely according to electrical safety procedures, and meet physical demands such as crawling, climbing, and lifting up to 75 lb.
