Requirements

ERG is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to assist with facilities projects for a Department of Defense (DoD) client. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on various systems and equipment within buildings, including electrical, plumbing, and general building infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to troubleshoot and repair issues, and the ability to work independently while ensuring a safe, efficient, and functional environment for all building occupants. The position is based out of a federal site in Indian Head, Maryland.

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with state and local building codes, OSHA regulations, and NFPA standards (a plus).
• Basic trades experience in carpentry, flooring, drywall, roofing, concrete/masonry, electrical, or plumbing.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret‑level security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Pass a pre‑employment physical examination.
• Capable of lifting objects up to 100 lb.
• Able to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $105,000 per year.
