The Powder Coat Operator/Parts Hanger is responsible for preparing and correctly hanging all required industrial door parts onto a conveyor line system using the appropriate hangers. They also remove parts once fully cured, stage finished painted parts onto the proper carts by door number, and ensure they feed into the final assembly stations.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Adhering to these standards helps protect teammates and maintain a productive work environment.
The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lb regularly, and to bend, twist, and squat throughout the workday. Candidates must be self‑motivated team players with excellent verbal and written communication skills, basic math proficiency, and the ability to read and follow simple instructions.
A high school diploma or GED is desired, though two to four years of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. This flexibility allows candidates with practical on‑the‑job knowledge to qualify for the position.
