Senior/Lead Structural Inspection Quality Control Engineer
M&J Engineering
Provider of multi‑discipline consulting engineering, environmental, construction and tech services.
Lead engineer overseeing QC of structural inspections for WMATA transit infrastructure.
Serve as a technical resource by offering guidance on inspection best practices to WMATA inspectors.
Develop and support QC inspection process improvements.
Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the WMATA Structures Inspection.
FHWA-NHI-130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges; or
Manual and procedures to ensure compliance with established guidelines. Conduct quality control reviews of inspection reports, witness and assess field inspections, and perform post-inspection quality control.

Possession of the following knowledge and credentials is preferred:

Proposed Engineer in Training (EIT) must possess the following certifications:
National Tunnel Inspection Standards (NTIS)
Completion of a 10-hour OSHA safety course.

Capability to perform QC of structural inspections related to:
Experience in structural inspection testing. Ability to identify and recommend the most applicable non-destructive (NDT) and destructive testing methods.
Experience using Inspection tools such as the “D-Meter” and other NDT tools such as Dye Penetrant.
Reflects steady financial stability and mid-sized firm agility.
