Work will be outdoors in various weather conditions
Support Foreperson in the planning of work to meet contractual milestones
Monitor the quality of work performed by the crew
Will be required to work shifts, on-call, and nights as necessary
Operate equipment on work sites as needed
Help ensure health, safety, and environment related concerns are addressed promptly
Assist leadership with daily tasks including safety toolbox meetings, equipment inspection, and road condition inspection reports

Strong understanding of provincial and/or municipal highway maintenance specifications
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement and a clear 3-year driver's abstract
Snow plow experience is preferred
Previous supervisory experience in highway maintenance, road construction, bridges or related field is required
Computer skills are an asset
Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol and audiogram testing
Benefits
Eligible to receive premiums starting at $8/hour, when performing winter maintenance operations
Operators will be eligible to receive a premium up to $14/hour when performing winter operations as a Class 1 operator and while operating the tow plow unit
Will be provided a base hourly rate of $33.75/hr
