Hoffman Mechanical Solutions, Inc.
A provider of mechanical solutions specializing in HVAC, plumbing, and energy systems.
Responsible for installing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing HVAC closed loop piping systems according to blueprints and layout specifications.
Inspect, test, and maintain piping systems to ensure proper functioning.
Identify and mitigate potential hazards in the workplace.
Interpret construction blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to layout pipe systems.
Ensure adherence to local building and safety codes, as well as project specifications.
Work with different materials, including steel, copper, plastic, and alloy piping.
Install pipes, valves, fittings, and other components according to blueprints and layout specifications.
Perform regular system check-ups to ensure pipes are free from rust, blockages, or damages.
Operate specialized tools such as pipe threaders, cutters, bending machines, and welding equipment.
Detect leaks or obstructions and repair or replace faulty components.
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Use welding, brazing, soldering, or cementing methods to join pipes and components.
Secure pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures using brackets, clamps, and tools.
Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required specifications.
Maintain and care for tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.

Certification or apprenticeship in pipe fitting or a related field is typically required.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals.

High school diploma or equivalent.

This position requires frequent working outdoors, inside mechanical/equipment rooms, regularly being exposed to extreme inside/outside weather conditions to include extreme hot and/or extreme cold. This position is regularly exposed to live voltage, moving mechanical parts, and heavy equipment. Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, elevated and/or precarious workplaces, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock and vibration. Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is typically loud.
