Safety and compliance orientation, ensuring zero harm environment in heavy manufacturing context.
Ensure products/components meet design drawings, BOM (bill of materials), work instructions, and quality standards as specified.
Work closely with planning, quality, warehouse (materials), and maintenance teams to ensure smooth workflow, availability of parts, minimal downtime and coordination across functions.
May require coordination across shifts, weekend or overtime work depending on production demands.
On-time delivery of work orders.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean manufacturing, waste elimination) to improve efficiency, cost, delivery and quality.
Manage shift activities (if applicable) including handover, staffing, attendance, training and performance reviews of assembly team members.
Monitor production metrics: output, first pass yield (FPY), defects per unit (DPU), overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) where applicable. Take corrective actions when targets are not met.
Maintain documentation, records and reports related to production, quality, workmanship, maintenance, manpower productivity, and escalate issues to higher management as needed.
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of assembly operators and technicians, assigning tasks, monitoring performance and ensuring timely completion of work orders.
Enforce and promote safe working environment, compliance with health, safety & environment (HSE) standards, housekeeping (5S) and manufacturing discipline.
Develop, communicate and implement the build/assembly plan for weekly/monthly targets.
