Foresters will identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines, submit inspection results with recommendations, plan and coordinate tree‑clearance crews, negotiate access issues, and act as a liaison between clients, crews, and customers. Travel throughout Virginia is required, with occasional overnight stays.
ACRT Inc. is seeking energetic experienced professionals for a full‑time Forester position. The role is suited for entry‑level or seasoned individuals with backgrounds in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental studies, conservation, or related fields.
Minimum qualifications include a 2‑year or 4‑year degree in a relevant field, or two years of utility vegetation management experience in lieu of a degree. Candidates should have competent computer skills, preferably GIS experience, be self‑motivated, organized, and able to work independently, with strong verbal and written communication and a valid driver’s license.
