Support testing, supplier visits, and customer meetings as required
Apply DFMA and Value Engineering (VAVE) principles to drive quality and cost efficiency
Work collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure design integrity and performance
Produce accurate 3D models and detailed 2D drawings in line with manufacturing standards
Prepare and maintain technical documentation – including BoMs, IOM manuals, and material specifications
Perform engineering calculations, including stress analysis, FEA, and FMEA
Lead and contribute to new product development and continuous design improvement projects
Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for rotating machinery using NX, Inventor, and AutoCAD
Work on challenging and high-impact design projects

Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical design, ideally involving large rotating equipment or assemblies
Solid understanding of stress analysis and FEA tools
A collaborative, proactive engineer with strong communication and problem-solving skills
Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) – essential
IEng registration desirable but not essential
Strong proficiency with 3D CAD software (NX, Inventor, AutoCAD)
Proven ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously
HNC/HND candidates with strong practical experience also considered
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and manufacturing best practices
Experience in FMEA and risk-based design approaches
