As a Field Technician in our Emergency Services Department, you will work in homes and commercial properties affected by disasters such as water, fire, mold, or smoke damage. Your primary responsibilities include documenting, protecting, packing, organizing, and cleaning affected contents, then transporting salvageable items to our warehouse for deep cleaning and returning them to the customer.

• Provide excellent customer service and empathy to the property owner during the restoration process
• Properly pack boxes with the property owner's possessions
• Wrap and protect all furniture
• Clean items that are brought to the facility
• Clean items from smoke and fire damage (deodorization, pack-outs, and securing the structure)
• Properly document items during the pack-out and cleaning process
• Be respectful of the customer's home, time, and property
• Operation of machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, or heavy equipment

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
• Comfortable working in extreme temperatures
• Able to lift and maneuver heavy objects/furniture/boxes, etc.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret written and oral directions
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to prioritize workloads
• Capable of working within time constraints while maintaining quality and service
• Willingness to learn and apply proper procedures
• Familiarity with water, fire, and mold restoration practices
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, solvents, and safe handling procedures
• Ability to work effectively with staff, contractors, vendors, agencies, and the public
• Ability to pass a respirator physical and FIT test
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of practices and procedures of water, fire, mold, and asbestos trades preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, solutions, and use of solvents
• IICRC certified in any area is a plus
• Frequent heavy lifting of 5-40 lb and occasional lifting of 20-100 lb
• Significant standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and climbing (ladders)
• Frequent crouching, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and balancing
• Ability to work in confined spaces and exposure to extreme temperatures
• Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels
• Prolonged periods of standing or sitting in stationary positions
• Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers
