Communicates effectively with Shop Leads, Shop Coordinators and Managers to ensure problems, nature of repair, and status of repairs are understood and followed up on.
Assist in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining equipment and components.
Inspects equipment and maintains equipment to ensure safe operation.
Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions and failures with appropriate supervision.
Adhere to manager’s and lead mechanic’s directions regarding all repairs and service calls.
Learns and understands how to use the work order system. Completes all documents and parts orders associated with repairs in an accurate and timely manner. Identifies parts for return timely.
Assumes yard duties as needed; loads/unloads equipment and cleans returned rental equipment with pressure washer.
Attends training as requested.
Works overtime as required by workload and customers’ needs.
Always engages in required safety practices and maintains quality housekeeping in work area.
Reads and understands the manufacturers’ Operation and Maintenance Manual per machine type and complies with its contents.
Inspects machines returned from rental for customer damage and notifies the supervisors regarding any specific damage that was found.

Understanding of diagrams and schematics

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Wynne, and ET/SIS/SIS Web/STW
Works effectively with others in the shop and accepts helpful technical advice from others with more work experience.
