The Senior Archaeologist will play a key role in our expanding service segment, enjoying flexibility to set daily schedules and shape the position. Projects will be mobilized from our Ankeny, Iowa office and may be local or non‑local, requiring communication across team sectors, project planning and management, supervision of cultural resource inventories, compliance assistance with cultural resource laws and regulations, and preparation and review of reports. The ideal candidate is independently motivated and highly organized.
Candidates must hold a master’s degree or higher in archaeology or a closely related field, with professional registration preferred. At least six years of archaeological consulting or agency experience in the Midwest, proficiency in Microsoft Office and ArcGIS, and strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Ability to manage multiple projects, travel on short‑term assignments, perform field tasks and oversight, and knowledge of federal and Midwestern state cultural resources regulations are essential.
