In this role you will produce consistent and accurate cost estimates for tenders, coordinate tender invitations and adjudication, and prepare and populate schedules of quantities. You will also provide estimating guidance to staff involved in the bid process and lead supplier negotiations.
Additional duties include assisting with pricing inputs according to tender plans, conducting quantity take‑offs, setting up tenders using the CCS (Candy) estimating software, and participating in post‑tender negotiations with risk analysis. You will support the development of pre‑qualification documents, attend client meetings, and contribute to value‑engineering assessments while identifying commercial opportunities.

The ideal candidate holds appropriate tertiary qualifications or equivalent knowledge, has at least five years of estimating experience in civil contracting and infrastructure, and is proficient in electronic tendering systems like CCS Candy. A solid understanding of NZS and local procurement standards, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a full NZ Class 1 licence are also required.
