Based in Bangor and reporting to the Supervisor of Accounting, the Regulatory Accountant plays a key role in month‑end close, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. This exempt, non‑bargaining position requires solid knowledge of GAAP and FERC accounting standards to prepare accurate statements and filings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and FERC Uniform System of Accounts.
- Experience with mid‑ to enterprise‑level financial systems.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating transactions and statements.
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; handle large data sets.
- Demonstrate accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail.
- Apply critical thinking and proactive problem‑solving.
- Primarily sedentary work with occasional walking, standing, and driving.
