The position reports to the Data and Analytics function and focuses on SaaS Advanced Analytics, delivering insights and predictive models for SaaS customers. Candidates may work remotely but should be able to overlap at least six hours with U.S. Central Standard Time (8 AM‑4 PM) and coordinate with teams in locations such as Johnston, IA; Moline, IL; Chicago, IL; or Austin, TX.
The SaaS Advanced Analytics team operates in a fast‑paced, innovative environment, providing data, insights, and analytics that enable John Deere to succeed with its new SaaS business model. The Senior Data Scientist will partner across functions to analyze customer data, build predictive models, and support decision‑making aligned with company goals.
Candidates need a minimum of four years of experience in Python or PySpark data analysis, strong statistical and machine‑learning expertise, and the ability to solve complex business problems with quantitative methods. Familiarity with software development principles, cloud technologies (AWS, Databricks, Spark), and data‑engineering collaboration is required, along with excellent communication skills for working with stakeholders worldwide.
