In this position you will develop detailed technical drawings and plans based on project specifications, create 2D and 3D models for land‑development infrastructure such as site layout, grading, roadways, and utilities, and collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure seamless integration of design elements. You will also review and modify drawings to correct errors, ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards, and maintain organized files while supporting the development of AutoCAD blocks and templates.
The firm is seeking a talented and detail‑oriented Civil AutoCAD Technician and Designer to join its expanding Civil Engineering Department in Minneapolis, MN or Milwaukee, WI. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with architects, engineers, and planners on high‑impact projects that shape communities and elevate the human experience.
Candidates must hold an associate or bachelor’s degree related to C3D drawing production, engineering, or a similar field, and possess at least five years of AutoCAD design and drafting experience with strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D. A solid understanding of design concepts—including earthwork, surface grading, pipe networks, and ArcGIS—as well as the ability to read architectural floorplans and technical drawings, basic building and mechanical knowledge, high detail orientation, analytical skills, and the capacity to work both independently and in a team are required.
The salary range for this role is $60,400‑$81,600, adjusted for geography, experience, education, and skill level.
