Description

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will oversee the group financial control function and ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Working autonomously, you will lead global financial operations and develop a highly capable, flexible, and effective team by example.

• Lead all aspects of group financial accounting.
• Develop and enforce the group's internal control environment with robust checks and balances.
• Prepare and manage the group's statutory reporting requirements.
• Lead the annual audit process and implement recommendations.
• Manage and update all group accounting policies.
• Maintain accurate and complete books of account to defined standards.
• Manage and improve the group's financial systems and processes, supporting selection, implementation, and enhancement of systems.
• Define and manage efficient month‑end and year‑end processes.
• Own the group's cash management in line with treasury policy.
• Manage global tax compliance and submissions (payroll taxes, VAT, US sales taxes, corporation/income taxes, withholding taxes).
• Stay informed about changes in financial and tax regulations and ensure compliance.
• Provide input and support to the FP&A team for business planning and ad hoc projects.

• Qualified accountant with significant industry experience, capable of leading the Finance team and contributing to strategic thinking.
• Proven post‑qualification experience (PQE) in a similar role, ideally in the technology sector.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS.
• Ability to lead and develop a Finance team.
• Knowledge and direct experience of business taxes and compliance, preferably in an international/group environment.
• Direct experience preparing and submitting claims under the UK R&D tax credit scheme.
• Cash flow, banking, and treasury management skills.
• Track record of internal control and process development.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP packages (ideally MS Business Central or Dynamics).
• Demonstrates integrity, delivery focus, and accountability.
